Workplaces should be the areas where people feel most safe. However, compensation claims are made every day by people who have had an accident at work. Here are some of the most common accident at work claims:

•    Slipping on Wet Floors
Wet floors can be extremely hazardous in places of work. They are extremely common in bars and restaurants and accidents frequently occur because of how quickly the staff have to work. When an accident at work claim is made because of a wet floor, it’s usually because the workplace has failed to clearly signpost or clean the spillage.

•    Factory Accidents
Although workplace managers do everything they can to ensure safety, accidents in factories are still relatively common. Thankfully, most factory accidents are not serious. They are usually as a result of workers tripping over discarded packaging, but they can sometimes lead to staff having to take extended periods off work. Claims can be made if the workplace has failed to ensure that packaging is placed in safe containers and not put on the floor.

•    Warehouse Accidents
Accidents in warehouses usually occur because of storage facilities. Shelves that warehouse workers constantly stack can become weakened and damaged, which can sometimes lead to them collapsing. This can cause extremely serious accidents with long term complications. Workplace injury claims are usually made if the workplace had failed to secure the shelves correctly or hadn’t checked them for damage or weakness.
